Welcome to my blog solely used to teach Irish tunes!

Hello all,

Thanks for signing on! These tunes in particular are melodies that I am teaching students at the New York Irish Center in Queens, The Irish American Society in Long Island, and the Tin Whistle Class of the Rockaways.    They are commonly played and easy to learn, so shed away.   If you have any questions or comments to add, please feel free to do so under the particular tune.

  1. Hi, I found your blog last year and remember thinking this is a nice resource for Irish whistle players. I wasn't' playing whistle then but I am now from June past and really enjoying the learning experience. So here's A quick grateful thank you for sharing your thoughts and music which is appreciated by myself and should be by many other beginner whistlers.

  2. Thank you for checking it out, JDL. I wanted to add that you can now play along with the accompaniment with present and future recordings on the blog as I had the mandolin tracks panned to the left and the whistle panned to the right. So pan away and play along with the mandolin once the tune is comfortable to play at a faster pace. Much appreciate the kind words and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog. I will do my best to keep posting away! Take care, JDL!
